Contemporary Controls Sponsors First German-speaking Niagara Forum

BASrouterJune 2014 - The inaugural Niagara Forum Deutschland introduced the German-speaking market to the benefits of Niagara Framework in providing a complete solution from device to the Internet. Contemporary Controls was one of the four sponsors to the first-ever Niagara Forum given in the German language that was held on June 3, 2014 at The Squaire. Conceptualized by Christian Heim - Tridium Europe sales manager - approximately 95 people registered for the event held at the new Squaire Conference center located at the Frankfurt, Germany airport. You could arrive by train or plane and easily make your way to this modern complex of stores, restaurants and meeting rooms. Like other Niagara forums, there was a combination of presentations and exhibitor stands and much discussion on how best to deploy the Powered by Niagara Framework technology.

Contemporary Controls Ltd (CCL) located in Coventry, UK and Contemporary Controls GmbH (CCG) located in Leipzig, Germany, have teamed up to distribute Niagara products from Tridium as part of Contemporary Controls' Scalable Building Strategy that addresses any size building automation need. According to Robert Owen, CCL technical accounts manager, "Tridium's client products ideally complement Contemporary Controls' BACnet and Sedona Framework controller products. As a stocking distributor of Tridium-branded JACEs and AX Supervisors, CCL/CCG can arrange for Niagara certified training in addition to providing technical support in either the English or German language. Contemporary Controls has been working with Tridium for several years and welcomes the opportunity to distribute Tridium products in Europe and the Middle-East."

Niagara ForumChristian Blenz, CCG applications engineer, gave the presentation "Niagara-Sedona Partnership - Heart of our Scalable Building Strategy." By using Niagara Framework client products and Sedona Framework server products, a complete building automation system can be created using a single tool - Workplace AX. Another advantage of this approach is that the complete system is BACnet compliant and if connectivity to non-BACnet compliance protocols such as Modbus, KNX and M-Bus are required, this can be accommodated as well.
