Visit Us at SPS

BASrouterLXOctober 2012 - Visit Contemporary Controls in Hall 10 Stand 10 -141 at the SPS/IPC/Drives show Nuremberg, Germany, November 27 - 29, 2012 to see our latest BACnet and Ethernet communication and control products. SPS showcases the latest innovations in automation technologies, with more than 1,400 exhibitors in twelve halls. It is one of the largest shows of its kind in Europe. The exhibits encompass the entire automation controls market, from the individual components to complete system integrations.

In addition to our CTRLink line of Industrial Ethernet switches, IP routers and media converters, we will be demonstrating remote access using the cellular network. Find out how our Cloud-VPN solution can make it easy to access I/O points over a secure tunnel in the Internet with minimum impact to firewalls.

For those interested in real-time Ethernet, our new IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol Ethernet switch provides a low-cost alternative to expensive rack-mounted switches. This five-port GigE switch can be DIN-rail mounted and operate over a wide temperature range while powered from a low-voltage source. IEEE 1588 provides precise time synchronization of distributed nodes for applications such as motion control and robotics.

For our ARCNET customers, visit our booth to learn how to interface modern workstations with our new PCI Express card that supports all the common ARCNET physical layers.

Although SPS is primarily an industrial automation show, visitors still find interest in our BACnet solutions so we will be demonstrating our BASautomation Scalable Building Strategy that utilizes both Niagara and Sedona Frameworks from Tridium. Our approach can be used for either small or large buildings.

"The SPS trade fair is a very important show for Contemporary Controls in Europe," said Paul French, EMEA Sales Manager of Contemporary Controls. "It provides an excellent overview of the Drives, Controls and Automation Market and allows us the opportunity to showcase our new developments to a sizeable and informed targeted audience."
