RapidRing® is a new technology from CTRLink that provides
redundancy for Ethernet networks. The CTRlink series of managed switches
provides two types of redundancy options.

RapidRing® redundancy: |

|
|
|
|
Allows switched networks
to be wired in a ring utilizing fiber or copper.
|
|
|
Any
break in the ring will be recovered in less than 300 ms
(with up to 50 switches).
|
|
|
Relay
contacts, flashing LEDs and SNMP traps help to quickly identify
broken links.
|
|
|
Supports
dual ring structures.
|

Trunking redundancy: |
|
