Product Overview |
 |
IntraVUE
is a Windows application that maps and monitors devices on an Ethernet
network. IntraVUE utilizes the features of our managed switches
to help construct a dynamic network map of the network using up-to-date
network status information. IntraVUE can also locate and monitor
unmanaged devices.
IntraVUE
continuously monitors the network and modifies its live network
map as changes occur. It also displays any devices that fail to
respond. A log is also recorded that contains all problems and all
network changes. The live map is color-coded to help quickly identify
any problem devices. IntraVUE can be used to monitor all managed
and unmanaged devices in a network.
The
map produced by IntraVUE is highly flexible. The displayed titles
for each device can be the device's IP address, manufacturer's assigned
name, user's assigned name, user's assigned location name, user's
assigned contact name, NetBIOS name, etc. An image can also represent
each network device.
The
dynamic map produced by IntraVUE allows the user to view the connection
information of each device in the network This includes the device's
MAC address which port of a managed switch is connected, the bandwidth
it is using, its response time, if it was moved, etc.
The
server version allows the information collected by IntraVUE to be
made available to multiple computers in the network. It requires
one computer in the network to host its application. The map and
status information can be made available to multiple computers via
a standard web browser.
The
host computer which runs IntraVUE requires Windows 2000 (Service
Pack 2 or greater) or Windows XP. This computer requires at least
a 633 MHz Pentium, 512 MB RAM, 150 MB hard disk space or 700 MB
if all video files are stored to hard disk, and a 10/100 BASE-TX
Ethernet NIC. The host and client PC require Microsoft Internet
Explorer 5.0 or greater.
IntraVUE
also requires at least one managed switch to be present in the network.
